Lowcountry Boil

Kick off the holiday season with Lowcountry boil, chili, hot dogs, craft beer and wine, and live music by the Bluestone Ramblers! Clyde and many of our Athletics coaches and student athletes will be there to meet your Cougar Cubs. At 1 pm, we will dedicate the Alumni Welcome Center at Towell Library in memory of the late Anthony J. “Tony” Meyer ’49, Executive Secretary Emeritus of the Alumni Association.

Early Bird Tickets through October 15: $40 per person including alcoholic beverages (must be age 21 or older); $20 per person age 15 or older, not including alcoholic beverages; $10 per child ages 7–14; Free for children ages 6 and under.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Alumni Association programs and services for the College. $10 of the adult ticket including alcoholic beverages and $4 of the adult ticket not including alcoholic beverages purchase is a charitable donation and may be deductible for federal income tax purposes as allowed by law.

Regular Price Tickets starting October 16: $55 per person including alcoholic beverages (must be age 21 or older); $35 per person age 15 or older not including alcoholic beverages; $15 per child ages 7–14; Free for children ages 6 and under.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Alumni Association programs and services for the College. $25 of the adult ticket including alcoholic beverages and $19 of the adult ticket not including alcoholic beverages purchase is a charitable donation and may be deductible for federal income tax purposes as allowed by law.

Clear Bag Policy

In order to expedite entry and provide a safe and secure environment for guests on campus, College of Charleston has implemented a Clear Bag Policy for events.

Approved Bags

  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ – A logo no larger than 4.5″ x 3.4″ can be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
  • Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ – approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap
  • Medically necessary items (after proper inspection)

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to:
• Purses larger than a clutch bag
• Briefcases
• Backpacks
• Fanny Packs
• Cinch/Drawstring Bags
• Luggage of any kind
• Computer Bags
• Diaper Bags
• Binocular Cases
• Camera Bags
• Non-approved seat cushions, which include large traditional seat cushions that have pockets, zippers, compartments or covers
